Hike #99 2020

October 27

There’s nothing I enjoy more than hiking in the fresh snow. We received almost a foot of snow in town the day prior so of course we took the opportunity to get in a quick hike before work the following morning. We knew it was going to be cold, 1 degree cold even, and though the dogs have a couple inches of hair, they still get chilled, therefore we wrapped the dogs up well with their jackets, booties and gaiters (to keep their legs snowball free), and of course their bandanas. We were only out for just over an hour, but we enjoyed every minute of it!

As Scott and I still had to work today, we only hiked 2 miles total with 420ft of elevation gain. Nothing quite like getting out in the fresh snow before work!
