Hike #20 2021

May 15th, 2021

It’s that time of year when we stay out of the higher elevation mountains for about a month while the snow melts. We would love to enjoy the snow until it’s gone, but walking through slushy snow that makes you sink down to your knees isn’t exactly how we want to spend our hikes. We hovered between 7000-8000 ft for this hike which was perfect because all the snow was already melted and the trail wasn’t muddy.

We began our hike at 6:20am and hiked up a couple miles before heading back.

If you look closely at the pictures of Zeus above you will notice a long line of drool coming from his mouth. We were eating pretzels at the time and let’s just say Zeus wanted some.
