Hike #108 2020

December 25

Merry Christmas!

On this special day we were planning to go hiking in the morning hours, but instead we FaceTimed family and put together our new king bed (because it turns out a queen bed isn’t big enough for two adults and two giant dogs). Since we still wanted to get out for a hike, we decided to head back to the same trail we were on last week and watch the sunset. There is a particular spot on this trail that has a clear view of the mountains and is perfect for watching the sunset. We fast walked to get to this spot in time and spent a good 25 minutes here taking in the view.

On today’s hike the boy’s wore their bandanas from @muttcloth

It’s not Christmas without Santa and Rudolf!

As we started to head back to the trailhead the sky gave us a show and turned the clouds into bright shades of pink and orange.

For this quick evening hike we did 3 miles with just 37 feet of elevation gain.
